  • First 24 Hours - useful emergency introduction
  • American RedCross - good basic preparedness info, and suggestions for personal "go kit"
  • Ready.gov - readiness resources provided by FEMA, for organizations and individual

  • Citizens Corp - a national program with a chapter in D.C. and local counties
  • Community Emergency Response Team- another national program with chapters in local counties

    NOTE: Both programs train citizens to augment local response officials in case of a major crisis/disaster. It would be a good idea to have your members take the free training and be of service to your organization, if need be.
