The JCRC's Northern Virginia Commission (NoVAComm) is the government advocate and community relations resource for our local Northern Virginia Jewish community. NoVAComm:
- organizes candidate forums, advocacy activities and other events
- maintains the only on-site lobbyist in Richmond to advocate for our Jewish community's concerns
- gathers representatives of Northern Virginia Jewish organizations to establish our annual legislative agenda
- participates actively in interfaith councils, state and local boards, and civic associations and
- works closely with area schools systems and public institutions, such as law enforcement, and social service agencies, to sensitize them to Jewish concerns.
